Kaimaktsalan

Mount Vorra (or Kaimaktsalan) is the third largest mountain in Greece and rises along the Greek-Yugoslav border, while most of its Greek section belongs to the Prefecture of Pella.   The mountain of Vorra is not only a pole of attraction for nature lovers and climbers.   Every year thousands of skiers visit the state-of-the-art facilities of the Borra Ski Center, while the National Team and most ski schools start their preparations there.   The Vorra-Kaimaktsalan Ski Center is 45 km from the beautiful town of Edessa and is developed on the southeastern side of the mountain at an altitude of 2,050 to 2,480 meters.   Visitors to the Ski Center can lodge in traditional hostels or even at the Chalet of the Ski Resort, which is located at 2,050 meters altitude with panoramic, spectacular views of Lake Vegoritida. Also, there are ski-snowboard rental stores for the ski equipment at the ski resort.   Rent a secure car from Rent a Car in Greece Car Hire Thessaloniki and visit Kaimaktsalan.
